Welcome to the Banner Blog Hop hosted by Ruthie of SeptemberNinth!

BBH

Thank you for stopping by. If you are new to this blog, let me extend a warm welcome to you. Do take a look around and click on the blog archive on the right column to see my past projects. If you do not recognize the images that I use, don't worry that you had missed out on a Cricut cartridge because I use my Cricut machine with Make-The-Cut software and Lettering Delights images.

(Note: Provo Craft/Cricut does not endorse the use of any 3rd party software. Cutting or communicating to any Cricut machine with any 3rd party or non-Cricut endorsed software or device will void the warranty of the Cricut cutting machine. As such, it might be prudent to wait until the warranty expires on your Cricut machine before attempting any  3rd party products).

This is the list of blogs (in alphabetical order) that are participating in today's Blog Hop. Do stop by to take a look at everyone's banner project and enter to win some fabulous blog candy too.

And now, on to my banner project.

To start, I found the perfect pennant shape in the LD Best Witches' Pennants graphic set. Just because the set was released last month for Halloween, doesn't mean that it is only good for that. That pennant shape is perfect for any banners of any occasions and so I traced it in MTC

Using multiple circles, I modified the shape to have scallop edges. I joined letters from the LD Woodland font to a half pennant shape to make the top layer for the banner.

To make the letters show, I "Break" and "Delete" the letters in MTC and cut out the triangles on black paper. A little layering with foam tape yielded the banner.

With the recent release of MTC version 3.0 BETA, the talk of the MTC forum was the new print-and-cut feature for the program. Without using the Cricut Imagine, I print-and-cut the pilgrim girl and boy from the LD Thanksgiving Art graphic set.

Layers were again adhered with foam tape for added dimensions. Next I cut out a tree from the LD Trees doodlebat and print-and-cut a turkey.

MTC v.3.0. BETA has a Blackout tool so that it deletes all cuts inside a main cut with the touch of a button. It is with that tool that I managed to easily cut the HAPPY signboard from the LD Happy Camper graphic set.

After a little Delete here and (Boolean) join there, I got my signboard.

To finish off this banner project, I sandwiched skewers and toothpicks inside the tree and the boy so that I may make them stand up on a pumpkin roll.

Now, how fun is that?! I hope that you enjoyed my project as much as I did making it.

For today's blog candy, I am giving away the very popular I-Rock heat setting tool by Imaginisce. Use it to add bling to your cards and other projects.
