I whaley love you

I had mentioned Lettering Delights' new Seven Seas graphic set in my last post. Today I will show you a card that I had made using an image from that set and which I had cut out with my Cricut machine and the Make-the-Cut program.

I know that I have said this many times but I don't want new readers to wonder why I am not sharing the .mtc file so please bear with me when I say this again: I am very sorry that I can't share the cut file because I am bounded by Lettering Delights' Terms of Sale and am not allowed to do so. I can, however, show you that the layers should look like this:

I have never used MTC to cut something so small but each letter in the "WHALEY" sentiment measures approximately 0.5"x0.5". I was impressed that the cuts turned out so nicely.

Unlike the submarine card, I wanted to keep this card as simple as possible. It's a simple idea but it sure sends the message across. As I have said before, sometimes Simple really is the best way to tell a story. And, yes, I "whaley" think so.

  6. Thank you, Magnolia Designs. Most of the patterned papers are from the DCWV Stacks and K&Company. Some are loose sheets that I buy from the craft stores. Recently I've started using paper by Echo Park. They have a lot of small prints in bright colors and I do love those. A lot. :)
