New for MTC users! Silhouette Portrait support in Sil Plugin 3.0

This is for those of you who use Make-the-Cut. You can now cut to the Silhouette Portrait through the MTC program! Andy has released a new plugin that supports the Silhouette Portrait and also allow the choice of cutting by Knife Point.

Download the plugin from HERE and read all about it from Andy's post HERE.

Also, for the general MTC crowd, the latest version of the program is v4.6.1. To find out what new features have been added in the update, just click HERE to read Andy's announcement.

  1. I just bought a Portrait and I love the machine, but the software is terrible! I decided to make a bday card and very quickly realized, it is a 20 minute ordeal of ungrouping and deleting in order to print layers on different paper. Just awful. I honestly can not believe how short, this software falls. It was suggested to me that i try MTC. My question is this: when opening a silhouette studio purchased file, can I open it in layers? In other words, the program understands I just might want to use different cardstock for different layer cutting . The silhouette software is really some kind of sad joke. Thanks for any help!--Jen

    1. Hi Jen, if you are using Silhouette Studio version 3.x, you may want to uninstall and use the Legacy version instead. There are many bugs in version 3 that makes the simplest function hard to execute. You can download the Legacy version (v 2.9.45) HERE. You will have to scroll down to the end of the page to find it.
