Have I ever told you that I love making shaped cards? No? Well, let me tell you now then. I love making shaped cards! :-)
They are so easy and so much fun to make. The best part is they look so different from the same ole' rectangle card.
Making a shaped card is really easy with Make-the-Cut. Basically, you open/import an image, make a Shadow Layer, then make another Shadow Layer, Duplicate that, Flip (or Mirror) that duplicate to face the opposite direction, and Weld that two layers together. Get it? The formula, once again is Shadow, Shadow, Duplicate, Mirror, and Weld. or SSDMW.
I made these cards from the Sweet Nothings SVG set the other day. As there isn't a straight edge on the original images to make a good welded card base, I had to modify the SSDMW formula a little. I added an extra rectangle to extend the basic shape of the card. Can you tell where I put that rectangle in the cards here? No prizes this time for the correct guess. ;-)
