Superhero Mom

Here's a card that I've wanted to make since LD released their Superhero collection back in early April. Have you ever seen an image and knew exactly what you want to do with it? That was me when I saw the Superheros but then Spring Break, and school, and home stuff, etc. got in the way and I never got around to it.

Yesterday, it dawned upon me that Mother's Day is this weekend. I figured I'd better get this card out of my system before I have to wait another year to share it with you.

Today's project is another double-sided, print-and-cut, hybrid card. I call it a "hybrid" because I used both print-and-cut, AND traditional paper-piecing methods to make it.

Here are the screenshots of my virtual mat in Silhouette Studio Designer Edition:

This is how the inside looks like when the card is all done:

The kids are getting pretty excited about this Sunday. They already have it all planned out! I overheard the three when they were discussing what to do the other day and it seems like I will not be allowed to get out of bed until they shower me with their surprises. I think it is going to involve some presents (that they are making themselves), and breakfast (which they will get Daddy to help them with), and I thought I heard that they will also be making my bed.

Methinks Daddy is going to end up doing everything. 'Guess I'd better get started on a Super Dad card for him today.

  1. I love your card! Sounds like you're going to have a great mother's day too! I just got my cameo and did my first print and cut and I have to say I'm very impressed with the accuracy! Thanks for convincing me I "needed" one!
