I'll admit it. This card was really just an excuse to play with LD's new Spooky Soiree set and Amy's gel pen. How can I resist them? The cauldron took all but 5 mins to convert into a cutable file while the gel pen worked when I just wanted an outline of the letters. If I had printed the words (LD Frightmares) out in the original solid or bold form, they would have taken attention away from the cauldron but using just an outline allows the words to be there without being the main focus of the card.
The layers of the cauldron looks like this in MTC:
I used foam tape to adhere the layers together and Martha's Drippy Goo punch was used for the borders. Stickles add some sparkle to the cauldron.
This was a quick card to put together. If you have not looked at Amy's gel pen holder and pens, just head over to Chomas Creations. If you do not own any of that yet, you should come back here on Friday. Amy may have something for you. *hint* *hint* ;-)
Spooky, love it! the drippy goo punch is perfect!

ReplyDeleteThanks, joeygirl86 and Amy! :-)
ReplyDeleteJin this is adorable! You inspire me to do more paper projects and not just vinyl!!
ReplyDeleteI love how well those pens work on the card, even with the embossing! Love the drippy goo (wish I had that punch!).Thanks for your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Jin. Love the Soiree - had to have it. Loved the wolfman. And I think that Frightmares font would also do really well for Harry Potter and/or Nightmare Before Christmas pages/cards.
ReplyDeleteSpooky !!! Love your creations !
ReplyDeleteHave a great Thursday ;-)
