Giveaway No.5 (last one!)

It has been an insanely fun week and I am so sad that my vacation has come to an end. Tuesday is the last day that we'll be in California.

Boo. :(

Some of you may recall that my youngest daughter has a lovey we call Pan-Dee. Pan-Dee is a little stuffed panda that my baby brings everywhere with her. In fact, I wrote a few mini Pan-Dee stories just for her. Click on any of the following pictures to read the story.

Because of Pan-Dee, my baby is very much into pandas. Recently when she was asked which country she would like to visit the most, she said China "...because pandas live there.". She had no idea there are pandas right here in California! When Hubby and I planned our itinerary, a trip to see a real live panda was a must-do. And that's what we did. ;-)

Cake stands and another giveaway!

It's Monday and I have a new banner and another chance at a LD gift certificate for you but first let me tell you about this store that we visited on Sunday. It's super cool!

We had arranged to meet some friends for dinner at Santa Barbara, a 2 hours drive north from where we were staying in Anaheim. Instead of spending an entire day at a theme park, we decided to head north early and make several small stops along the way.

One of these stops was Bountiful in Venice, CA. The window display of cake stands, stacked one on top of the other, was a sight to behold. We were excited to check out the store.

Even though this store was packed full of interesting things like these antique tins

and these cool chandeliers,

and these fun matchboxes,

all I could think about were the cake stands. Here are some more pictures of them:

Aren't they beautiful?

The store is kinda pricey but the things in there are so cool! The folks running the store is also super friendly. If you are in the Venice, CA area, this store is definitely worth a visit.

It is Day 2 of our vacation and we're already thinking of you. Yes, I said "we" because apparently my blog has become a family favorite choice of idle chit-chat. ;-) And since you are all on our minds while we are in California, I thought that it'll be fun to have a little giveaway.

Hi everyone! By the time you see this post, I will be out of town with my family. Hubby and I are bringing the kids to Southern California!

Since I'm on vacation, I'll make this post short. :-) For today's project, I used the "Moo-chas Gracias" stamp from Joy's Barnyard Puns stamp set. The cow is an SVG from Lettering Delights' Rise and Shine SVG set while the speech bubble is from their Talk set. All cuts were made using Make-the-Cut and the Silhouette SD cutter.
