I finally got around to playing with the print-and-cut feature of the new Make-the-Cut.
Using the new tracing tool, I traced several images from the Lettering Delights' Birthday Fishies GRAPHIC set. The blue printed background comes from the Something Fishy Paper Pack.
There are now so many ways to trace an image with MTC that I can't just call it "pixel-tracing" anymore. For this card, I actually had to use both "alpha-tracing", and "palette-tracing" to Print-and-Cut the mermaid's party hat and tail.
I used my Silhouette SD to cut out every layer used to make this card. I love that it can make intricate cuts so cleanly and precisely. Just check out the balloon. The "string/ribbon" is a hair line!
This is my first PNC card with the new MTC and I noticed that a thin white border showed in some parts of the cutouts (e.g. mermaid's tail). I was expecting a perfect no-white cut like what I was able to get from the previous v.3.2.1. The image on the virtual mat didn't show any white parts even after I zoomed in 300%. The white didn't bother me though. In fact, I thought it made the layers "pop". I guess I am going to have to try PNC-ing a little bit more to see if I can figure out what is causing the white border. If anyone of you would like to try to PNC with the new MTC, do check back tomorrow. I will have a basic tutorial on print-and-cut with Lettering Delights and MTC v.3.3.2 up for you.
