Happy Birthday {using in-laid technique}

This is the first full week since school ended that I'm actually not out of town somewhere. So happy that I finally got a chance to sit down to make something!

During the summer I don't have much time for crafting as I want to spend as much time as I can with the kids. Every now and then, they'd let me have some me-time when they do their own thing. I came up with today's card idea on one of those occasions.

Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut out the present from white cardstock and the stitched rectangle over it with a Mama Elephant metal die. Next, I cut the same size present again with my Cameo, this time using patterned papers. I assembled that together, and snipped off the bow.

To finish the card, I in-laid the present into the white cardstock, stamped the sentiment, and adhered a die-cut bow on top.

The card took about 15 minutes to make. That's actually a lot faster than it took me to write this post. lol.

Ack! Did you hear that? The kids are yelling for me and it seems that my me-time for today is over. Excuse me while I go entertain them. Talk to y'all later! :)

  1. Do you know of an SVG that would produce the same results for the bow?
