To those of you who had written to me recently, thank you for your notes. Did you hear me go, "Awww...." everytime I read another "Jin, I missed you!" message? You're all too sweet! I really appreciate that you took the time to let me know that you're thinking of me. You make me feel all fluffy and loved inside. Thank you! :-)
If you missed me, I have good news for you. I'm baaaack! Well, sort of. The kids went back to school today so I'm in after-vacation-clean-up mode but once I'm done, the blog will be back to regular programming. In the meantime, I'll continue to let you know of all the latest LD offers just so that you don't miss out on any of the good deals. See? Am I good to you or what? LOL!
Now, speaking of good deals, there's one here but it's for one day only and will expire on Tuesday night:
Get the All Around the World Bundle for only $3! It includes 2 graphic sets, an alphabet and a paper pack. These cost $14 when bought separately.
There are no Cut Its in the Around the World collection/line and so this bundle does not include any cutting files. Still, the images are great for print-and-cut. For those of you who are die-hard die-cutters (heheh...how fast can you say that? Die-Hard Die-Cutters!), it is possible to make cut files out of the Around the World Sites graphic set. I did this framed piece back in 2010 when I figured out how to trace the images with Make-the-Cut and made my own cutting file from it.
It's been a while since I made that wall art but it's still one of my favorite projects. If you would like to see more pictures, you can find them in THIS POST.

Hi Jin I love your blog. I've just recently got a cameo and was wondering how you make a graphic into a cut file. I know how to do a basic trace and cut the outside edge but how do you cut different layers.
ReplyDeleteI mostly use Make-the-Cut (MTC) to do that because it has better tracing capabilities than Sil Studio. For example, with MTC, I could specific which colors that I want to trace. So if I only want to cut out, say, the green layer, I could tell the program to only trace all the parts that are green in color.
DeleteThanks Jin it might be worth me investing in that then
