I was going to show y'all this with my Washi Tape post yesterday but as you probably already know, that post went waaaay too long. So I'm posting this separately. :-)
When Hubby was waiting for his flight home at the Narita International Airport, he saw this and had to get them for me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Matcha and I like Kit Kats so Green Tea Kit Kats are a match made in heaven!
This is what he brought home:
Let's open the box up!
Beautiful!
Let's take one of the 10 packs and open that up.
Eeek! So cute! 3 mini packs in a medium pack in a big box. heheh.
Even cuter! These are snack size!
Here Cutie Pie, meet Not-So-Cutie Pie.
Hmmm....is this the reason why there is a lower obesity rate in Japan?
By the way, these look really cute but they don't taste as green tea-ish as I expected. They taste a lot like milk chocolate with a green tea aftertaste. It left me wanting something more green tea-ish. Does anyone have a good green tea pastry/baked good thingy recipe to share? I think I'm going go bake some matcha cupcakes or something.
Later, gators! ;-)
YUM! Do those have a nut warning on them?
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! I'm in Japan and I have to say, I love the way things are packaged. Everything looks so cute! I want to try these and will have to look for them. I wish I would have explored the Narita airport more when we flew in!
ReplyDeleteLucky! The last time I visited Japan was a decade ago. I would love to go again. Have fun and enjoy yourself! :-)
Deletenever mind-looked at nestle.jp and they do have warnings for almonds, peanuts and walnuts. Bummer. They look cute though!
ReplyDeleteI was just about to reply that everything on the wrapper is written in Japanese but you are smart to check the site. It's a bummer that there may be nut content/contamination. :(
