  15. Day 5 1st post
My favorite Halloween was when my kids were all very young and enjoyed Halloween. I dressed my son up as a little electrified man. Teased his hair until it all stood on end he looked so cute. He was a good sport. Another time my mom and I dressed my oldest as a ghost for Halloween, she was really little, Mom used my makeup to
put a Ghost face on her, she was so excited to get to use Mommy's makeup, she just knew she would look really beautiful, she kept patiently still, then we let her look at herself her eyes got really big she looked at her grandma and said "NOW YOU STOP THAT! and started to cry it took us awhile to convince her she would have fun scaring people, but she was a good little trooper and had a lot of fun that night, she was 2 1/2 at the time.

  62. My favourite costume I made was when my quadruplets were just babies. I made each of them an M&M in their colour and then made their wagon the M&M package. It was so fun when they were little to make theme costumes and they didn't care. Didn't last long though, they soon wanted to do their own thing!

  79. My best costume was when I went as a hot air balloon. I used an old wicker laundry basket and cut out the bottom. I held it up by using suspenders. The hot air balloon was made from an XL mylar balloon and a netting made from yarn attached to the wicker basket. I used my baby brothers old socks and filled them with sand and tied them to the outside of the basket to make it look like weights. I won for best costume!

  96. This was so very cool! I got lots of great ideas for halloween AND I have found out about all sorts of tools that I never knew about before. I have made some C-R-A-Z-Y costumes in the past, (one year, I was a "flasher doll" ~ a grungy looking man in a trench coat with greasy hair and a fedora and underneath I wore long johns with a plastic banana and two apples stuck to it (this of course was for the adult party and I only flashed if someone insisted), but no one knew it was me because they all thought that I was a man! When they found out who I was, they would all scream and go get someone else to look at me. It was pretty hilarious at the time. That was pre-kids, pre-marraige, in fact pre-boyfriend...gee, I wonder why) I also made a giant bag jelly beans with a clear construction trash bag and balloons. That was a much safer option.

Even had my own hair up in the side buns. Went with my best friend, Christopher who was Luke Skywalker. Wish I still had a picture of it. I believe his parents still have a copy....I should contact them and ask them for it!
