I have another $10 Lettering Delights gift certificate to give away! Since Halloween is around the corner, let's talk candies today. To enter in the giveaway, just tell me
"What is your favorite candy?"
or
"What is your favorite candy to give out on Halloween?"
If you had missed Day 1-3's giveaways, please click HERE to read the rules. Remember, if you follow my blog or Facebook, you can put in additional entries to increase your chances of winning.
Also, I'm really just trying to give away the gift certificates so if you decide not to comment based on the suggested topic of the day, that's fine too. I'm just trying to make the entries more interesting. Isn't it more fun to read about where your fellow crafters are shopping than to see one hundred "Pick ME!"?
One more thing, if you have any questions or suggestions on what I can use as a comment topic for tomorrow's giveaway, please do post that too. I could use some help.
Now your turn. Comment away and GOOD LUCK!
The kids in our neighborhood are most excited to get those big chocolate bars (like Reeses, Hersheys, Kit Kat) that I can get at Costco or Rite-aid.
ReplyDeleteWell, my favorite...hmm, so many candies so little time...I have to say these are some of my favorites: Homemade divinity, homemade caramels, homemade gourmet apples, my mom's fudge. Favorite purchased candy would be orange marinier pecans (orange liquoir flavored chocolate covered pecans...yum), dark chocolate truffles, uh yeah, I love chocolate.

ReplyDeleteI'm with the terrible poster who loved old time candy cigarettes, (not the gum ones but the chalky white melt-in-your-mouth white ones with a little red dye spot on the "lit" end. Bad, bad, bad. What is available today swings me over to Godiva dark chocolate bar with raspberry filling. Divine. For the kiddos, we love to give m&ms and smarties (hubby and I will still fight over the smarties.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be good for tomorrow to ask people what the best Halloween costume they ever made was and how they did it. That might give all if us with kiddos some new ideas.

ReplyDeleteDon't do halloween but my favorite candy is snickers, or maybe it's carmello, or maybe it's chocolate covered peanuts. But my really, really favorite is one I can't even find any more and don't know what the name of it is! It is chocolate, nuts and carmel with a sort of crispy inside. The chopped nuts are sprinkled on the outside and the bar? is not very thick, long and skinny. Absolute love these but haven't been able to find them or their name. I you know, PLEASE reply and let me know.

2nd entry! I do hope I get picked!
ReplyDeleteRegarding favorite costumes, my ski club used to have an annual costume party.I would spend a few months making my costumes. I was a belly dancer, made half of the costume & purchased the other pieces, including a very elaboate mask.
I was Cleopatra, that was my favorite! I am blond. I had to use dark makeup & bought a black wig. The costume to me over 2 months to make & turned out fantastic!
Then when I was dating my now husband we went as Little Red Riding Hood & The Big Bad Wolf. I made his legs, feet, tail & ears for the dressing gown & shower cap. I put on his snout prosthesis & the crepe hair as well as claws for his outfit & made my entire outfoot including a satin hooded cape. We won best couples costume that year! It was so much fun!!
