New Lettering Delights files are coming! Lots of them!! I was so excited when I saw them last week. I really wanted to cut them all out to show you right away but I had to put away my Silhouette for a bit to pack for a weekend getaway.

On the way to Leavenworth |
Leavenworth is a Bavarian village about 120 miles from Seattle, WA. We had driven there this Summer but a forest fire in the mountains cut short our trip. Even though the village was in no threat of catching fire, it was no fun walking around in smoke.

The view outside our room |
We stayed overnight in the village this past weekend and here are a few pictures that I took with my hubby's little point-and-shoot pocket camera:

Check out the giant Christmas tree. |

The Nutcracker Museum sits amongst the stores that line the main street in Leavenworth. |

The Taffy Shop- my kids' favorite store in all of Leavenworth. |

Leaving Leavenworth...see the Wenatchee River on the left. It runs alongside Highway 2. |
Now that we're back home, I hope to show you some cuts from the new LD sets soon. I did cut out one thing before I left for Leavenworth- this reindeer is part of a new 3D (non-cute) Cut It set:
One more exciting thing before I end this post....if you have a Michaels' store in your area, keep an eye out for the Silhouette Cameo and accessories. My friend, Gaby (http://www.gabycreates.com/), has reported that her store in Southern California has started carrying Silhouette products. If you have a November 2011 issue of Family Fun, or a copy of the Entertainment Book, look inside for a Michaels' coupon that does not exclude the Silhouette items. If you find any Silhouette products in your Michaels', please do post here or on my Facebook page. Thanks and Have a Super Monday!
I'll definitely have to keep my eye out for Silhouette accessories at Michaels! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love love love Leavenworth!!! I've been a couple of times, but always on day trips. We never stayed over. Have you guys ever done the Santa Train from Seattle? We did when our daughter was a little younger...SO much fun!

I miss being in WA. We LOVED going to Leavenworth. Did you visit Liberty Orchards just outside Leavenworth in Cashmere? They have a great factory tour and free samples of the yummy applets and cotlets! That was a highlight of our trips.
