Thanks everyone for all the kind comments that you have left on the blog and on my Facebook page. I hope that you are enjoying the Kyoto Kuties as much as I do. I love this set so much!
Here are some tips and a couple more pictures of the cuts that I'd like to share with you:
If you are using the latest MTC version (v.3.3.2), this set will not be displayed inside the program like the other LD-svgs that are on the Lettering Delights site because it is a direct download. You can use this set with MTC by clicking on the IMPORT SVG button.
Don't forget to check Use Actual and import at 72 DPI. When you first start MTC v.3.3.2 and use the Import SVG button for the first time, it will default to 90 DPI and with Use Actual unchecked. If you do not change the value to 72 DPI, and check the Use Actual box, the LD-svg will be imported at the size of your caret (usually 1") and not the actual size intended by LD.
I used Make-the-Cut and my Silhouette SD to cut all these SVGs.
The panda was cut at 1" tall, the dragonfly at 0.7" tall, and the hummingbird at 1.5" tall. I love that the Silhouette was able to cut these out so cleanly and precisely.
You may notice that I have made some modifications to some of the svgs in the set. For example, I modified the panda to have 3 layers instead of two. This is all for my own personal preference. The file cuts just fine the way that it is now.
If you have not downloaded your free Kyoto Kuties Cut It Set, please click on the following link to get it from my previous post: Kyoto Kuties-From LD with Love.
Oh, wow! That is sooo cute! Love all the cuts and can't wait to play with them! You make the files look so much cuter, too! I'll go check the previous post now!
ReplyDeleteOMG...SO cute! Thanks for sharing! BTW, what kind of paper did you use? (I'm still a newbie at this) Leila
ReplyDeleteI love this set but got an error message when trying to download "corrupted zip file". I also could not find it at LD. You did a great job with it, tho.
ReplyDeleteOh My Goodness Jin...this set is absolutely adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us...and I'm so happy we get to hear more adventures of Pan-Dee! ;)
Hugs...Kathy
I can hardly wait to cut these. They're sooooooo cute! I didn't see the other little hidden treaures in the set at first(like the hummingbird)
ReplyDeleteWhat do you suppose that image Number 11 is for? It says Panda Body, but there must be a reason why it's boxy?
The cherry blossoms you made are so intricate and perfect. I am always in awe over your talents!

Ok, I can't find the DPI to change it...I know I have seen this.
ReplyDelete@Mom to Deanna, it's under the preview box after you click on the Import SVG button. The following tutorial was made in v.3.2.1 but it looks similar to the window in the new upgrade. Scroll down to Step 3.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for these Kuties. A few months ago, I discovered your website in a search and am hooked on your website. I'm a newbie to MTC and to the Silhouette Cameo (future purchase). Jin, will you also be requesting backs for the Kuties? I purchased LD's Happily Ever After cut its and graphics after I saw the backs! Thank you for your generosity.
