Happy Monday! Happy 9 Days to the Last Day of School! Yeah...my twins are pretty happy these days. They should be because there really are a lot of things to be happy about.
For starters, they finally had their first piano recital! Woo hoo! The girls have been taking private lessons for a while now and they were really looking forward to playing at the recital last Saturday. They both played so well! Hubby and I couldn't have been more proud. :-D

If you are wondering why they have "Ballet Hair" for their piano recital, that's because we had just came from the photo shoot at the dance studio in the morning. Dance Recital is a couple of weeks away but my girls were super thrilled that they got to dress up in the costumes for Picture Day. :-D
Getting ready for picture taking. |
There are so many fun and exciting things going on, no wonder they are happy!
With the school year ending soon, I really should start planning on what to do with the kids. I actually sat down at my table on Sunday morning, all set to write down my plans for the Summer but then I caught sight of the Silhouette. I tried not to look at it but that was such a sad, and futile effort that I gave up resisting it and made this card instead.
I used Make-the-Cut to cut out the clam and all the letters. The shellfish is from the Lettering Delights Something Fishy SVG set. By the way, the whole Something Fishy product line is currently priced at 50% off as part of the LD Summer Sale and the SVG set is only $2.50! If you have not shopped the LD Summer Sale, just click here to check it out!
I'm happy that I got this Happy card out of my system but I still have nothing written down for Summer Activities. Maybe I'll start today. :-P
SO cute Jin! I love the way you cut out and used the negative for "as a"! Again with you being all innovative, lol! And your little twins are too cute :D I can see why they were happy to dress up in their pretty costumes :)

Last day of high school for my daughters was the end of May, don't tell your twins, LOL, start school again in the end of August.
ReplyDeleteActivities did with the girls when little, was bubbles & side walk chalk, bought wooden birdhouses, girls painted them, now hanging outside for years now. Picnic at the park, or riding bike, maybe something to get you started with making a fun summer for your daughters.
My sons last day will be fri., he can't wait. Enjoyed the pics of the girls. Love the card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a FUN filled weekend! Have a terrific summer with your kiddies...time goes by all too quickly! But remember us from time to time...we LOVE seeing your fab cards. You always have great ideas!

ReplyDeleteI have been following your posts for months now and love love everything you create. I have a question... you are using the Silhouette SD for cutting your images, is it possibly to use the old Silhouette to cut them?
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect, fun card. I bought the sets....now to do something with it half as cute as yours. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! And I sooooo need a girl that takes ballet ;)
