"Hello there, Advent Calendar House. Long time no see."
"Wait, I did see you yesterday. Mommy left us hard candy for Day 1. Wonder what's in Day 2 today."
"This space is so tiny, our chance of getting a Polly Pocket thingy is definitely zero."
"It's probably another individually wrapped hard candy. So bor--- Eh? What's that?"

So this post has nothing to do with the Cricut but I'm so tickled by what I made that I thought I'd share with you. :-)
I got this Advent Calendar House for my kids a couple of years ago. I love how cute it looks but I really dislike how small each box is. I struggle to squeeze in 3 pieces of candy in each box every year.
And then I chance upon the ArtMind blog.
I can't believe I never thought of this! The kids love scratch cards and putting mini scratch cards into each day of the advent house is perfect! No more cramping candies into the house every night. This year I have scratch cards that are redeemable for a variety of prizes! Yay!
To learn how to make your own scratch cards, just go to the ArtMind blog. You will find the full instructions there.
That is SO cool! Love this idea and I love the advent house. It's beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
