Mid-Week Musings: Hero Arts SVGs?? New LD Fonts and Doodlebats!

Oh lookie at who wants a slice of the SVG pie!

Uh-huh. Even Hero Arts wants a piece of the action.

I've always loved Hero Arts' stamps and my heart skipped a beat when I saw this email. Their Digital Die Cuts are meant to co-ordinate with their stamps! The idea sounds super cool until I checked out the site and the price. The cost of the download starts from $1.99 and unless I had misread, that is the price for ONE single design. The price goes up to $3.99 for a download that has 3-4 designs and $4.99 for more designs. The download includes files in 7 formats (AI, JPG, PNG, DXF, SVG, GSD, & STUDIO) which means that you can use it with many different cutters. I guess depending on the user's needs, that can be pretty cool. Or not.

Now if only Lettering Delights would release their files in more formats.... (Hint! Hint! LD!!)

Speaking of Lettering Delights, did you notice that they released 38 new Fonts and Doodlebats on Tuesday? AND THEY ARE $1 EACH!!!

Here are a few of the new Fonts and Doodlebats:

Click here or the image above to go to the Lettering Delights website to take a closer look at the new release.

Don't know how you can use Fonts and Doodlebats with Make-the-Cut? Don't worry, I have just the tutorials for you. Just click on either one of the following tutorials to find out more.

Before I go, let me tell you a secret....I heard from a little birdie that LD is adding even more new Doodlebats! I don't know when they'll be released but I'm hoping that it'll be soon so that you can get  them during the dollar days sale (which may be ending soon). Better keep your eyes on this blog cos' you know that I will tell you as soon as the new stuff is out. ;-)

p.s. I didn't get to play with my Gazelle on Tuesday but I promise to post more reviews on the cutter as soon as I figure it out. ;-)

  1. Looks cute and all but I think it is way too expensive. You have to buy the stamp then the image, which at $1.99 is kinda expensive for a background image. I don't buy stamps anyway since I have the Teresa Collins stampmaker. I use my handy dandy LD DB to make into stamps. DB Love Affair makes for some gorgeous stamps, let me tell you! I will just stick with LD and SVGcuts for now.
