So I'm going to be honest here-- I've never played Minecraft. Don't know what the game is all about and don't understand why it is so popular. Still, that wasn't going to stop me from playing with LD's new
Even though I don't know much about the game, I've seen enough Minecraft merchandise in the mall to figure out that the blue-shirt guy has to be the main character. I have never seen him with a female character though but I thought it was adorable that he has a little girlfriend. Aw..so cute! ♥
I may not be a Minecraft fan but I couldn't resist the cuteness of the LD set and so I started to put the two lovebirds on a card.
Using Silhouette Studio Designer Edition and my Silhouette Cameo, I made a 5.25" x 6" card by applying print-and-cut on the card base, and cutting the main characters out of different colored cardstock. I assembled and layered the cutouts together with glue.
I was really excited when I finished the card. I loved the colors and I thought that the whole thing looked adorable. I couldn't wait to show it to the kids!
Alas! My two 7th Graders took a look at it and started to laugh.
"MOM! Steve does not have a girlfriend!", they exclaimed.
Huh?
Oh.
Really?
So I was told by my giggling kids that the main character in Minecraft (I guess his name is Steve?) is single and has no girlfriend. Oh well, methinks that if Steve wasn't single and if Steve did have a girlfriend, I bet she'd look just like this:

Files used:
Pixelcraft-Love Cut Set
Pixelcraft- Love Graphic Set
Pixelcraft Paper Pack
Very cute! I also got the files since my 8 year old grandson is obsessed with MineCraft and last week's release of the Galaxy aka Star Wars themed files hit another obsession of his.
