My First Boo Boo (plus 4 free LD SVG files)

Fine. So it's not really my first boo boo. If anyone noticed how many times I re-publish the same post, she will know that I make a ton of mistakes everytime I write a blog post. Typos, grammatical errors, broken links, etc. and sometimes I even have to re-write the entire post the next morning. But the mistake this time is a little different.

Remember this post when I told you about the new Lettering Delights SVGs? That there are new purse boxes and pinch boxes. Well, there were. They're not there any more because, well, let's just say that some times template errors happen.

LD has taken down the two sets to fix them and in the meantime, they have generously offered 4 super cool SVGs for you to play with. The first is a set of three different 3-D stars. I've just cut them out and they cut and look great! Use them to make tags, or ornaments, or even other home decor items. How about a star wreath?

The next file is a template for a 24-pack gum advent calendar box. It's super fun to make and you can even use the box template for something other then a gum advent calendar. Enlarge the template and make it into a box for holding mini note cards!

Please note that for this box template, when you are at the Open SVG window in Make-the-Cut, make sure that you are opening the file at 72 dpi as shown in the picture below. Otherwise, the size that it is imported at might not be correct.

These free LD svg files are currently only available through this blog so just go ahead and grab them. To download, just click on the folder below, then highlight the file and pull down the "More" tab:

Thank so much, Lettering Delights!

  7. My stars did not come out as nice as yours :( I'm trying to do some for my sons room to hang from the ceiling but I guess the paper I used was to hard. Did you use a scorer to fold the dotted lines?

  8. Hi Felicita,
I used my Scor Pal to score the paper.

  10. I know this is an old post, but I wanted to thank you for the star files - I was just about to make some myself and was googling ideas. Now I can spend more time crafting!
