Joy's stamps

Once upon a time, before I owned a Cricut, I was a rubber stamper. Yes, it's true. I stopped stamping when my kids came along but before they did, I was a rubber stamping fool

And so when my friend, Joy of joyslife.com offered to send me some of her stamps to play with, I was super excited. The stamps came in the mail the other day, and all I could say was "Wow!". If you own any of Joy's stamps, you would know why I was so bowled over by the quality of her stamps. The rubber is thick but more importantly, the stamped image is super crisp.

The stamps stamped so well! I took them out of the package and used them straight away with a Memories Dye Ink pad. The stamped images were clean and clear. No pre-conditioning or pre-sanding required. I was delighted!

For today's card, I used a tree from Lettering Delight's DB O Tannenbaum set. Since it is a doodlebat, I was able to create the layers quickly in MTC.

As soon as the Cricut was done cutting, I put the layers of the tree together and adhered it to a prepared card front. I finished the card with a stamp from Joy's newest stamp collection. I really like the look of these round stamps. If you'd like to check out these stamps, just pop by joyslife.com to take a look.

  1. Thank you for sharing your other site with us! I really enjoyed looking at your creations! May I say it again? You have a talent. I'm serious! It's not so easy for all of us, but you make it look so!

  2. Thanks, jayma! You are very sweet. :) I used to stamp a lot but I have not updated that gallery for years. There's a picture of a calender card thingy and it's dated 2002! Scary how fast time flies. I'm glad that you enjoyed the cards. :-)

  3. I love this card. You are amazing. I am on your blog daily. You are so talented. You have introduced me to Cricut , Make The Cut and Lettering Delights. I haven't used a Cricut Cartridge in months. My library of Lettering Delights is growing so fast. I can always justify any purchase, because it doesn't cost a fraction of a Cricut Cartridge. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us. I can't believe how easy it is. I just bought the Party Animals Doodlebat, at your recommendation. I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to clean up the Lettering Delights doodles on Make The Cut? With the new MTC Version 3.0 lots has changed. Thank you again for sharing your talent with us. Thanks, Meagan

  4. Thanks, Meagan! That Party Animal set is so much fun but I agree that the images may need some minor tweaking before it can cut well. I think your suggestion of a tutorial is awesome and I will work on doing one up.

    Thanks! :)

Jin, I am LOVING the paper that you used for the background on this card. Can you tell me what paper it is? This whole card is super cute!

    Thanks!
