How to Fill Pattern in Silhouette Studio version 3.0.343

Silhouette America released the latest update to their Silhouette Studio program yesterday afternoon and I was just exploring it. I have posted several screenshots of my tests to my Facebook page but while playing with the Fill Patterns feature, it became apparent that it was more helpful to record and post a video instead.

I am using Windows 8.1 with Silhouette Studio Designer Edition version 3.0.343. To see the screenshots on my Facebook page, please click HERE. If you are following this blog via the newsletter, please click HERE to view the video.

    1. Ha! Hubby rolled his eyes when I made him watch the video. :-P I guess my expectations has become very low after experiencing the disappointment of the initial v3 release. I was so thrilled when something actually worked this time. LOL!

  3. Does adding lots of papers to your library bog down and make the program run slow? Would you copy to your patterns the ones you want to use and then delete after?

    1. I don't usually add papers to my library so I can't say for sure if it'll slow the system. In my opinion it probably would, especially if A LOT of papers are loaded but I don't know what's the limit before the program starts to act wonky.

  4. I always find your blog so helpful. As a newbie to Silhouette (I've used a Cricut for years) I am always so grateful when you have a video or tutorial. This is exciting!

  5. I have lots of papers added to my program and it is slower loading but I love having paper at my fingertips to fill my images. I have been adding papers to my DE via the drag and drop into my patterns for sometime but never knew that I could have just dropped it into the pattern itself on the mat. I was worried that I would not be able to fill the images from the "fill pattern" screen as easily with the new update but I can see I can still do it quickly. I may update. I have over 5,000 images/papers in my DE software and it only takes longer loading but still works fine. This is the old version, not the new one.
