FREEBIE! Merry Christmas card sentiment
Samantha is one of my favorite fonts and I have been playing with it a lot lately. The typeface is so pretty and I thought it would make a beautiful greeting for a Christmas card.
Instead of printing it out on the card like I usually do, I cut the greeting out on vinyl at a setting of Blade 2, Speed 8, Thickness 5, and using a relatively new blade with the Silhouette Cameo. The cut was very intricate but the Cameo did a beautiful job. The swirls are almost as thin as hair!
Using the Swell Noel Icons (cut its/svg) and the vinyl cuts, I made these two cards fairly quickly. I decided to use the simple shapes because I wanted the lettering to stand out. I love how the Swell Noel Icons paired so perfectly with the greeting!
Laura Worthington is the creator of the Samantha font and I have her permission to give away this word art. To download your free Merry Christmas greeting, just click HERE. The zip file includes the sentiment in both the .studio and .mtc formats. You can use this for print-and-cut or for just cutting out.
