The Lettering Delights Coo Coo Ca Choo Clock is a lovely project and I enjoyed putting it together when they put it up on their site yesterday. If you are looking to make the clock, here are some tips that may help you.
Firstly, this is not a quick project. The clock is made up of 25 layers. That's right, there are 25 cut outs to glue or adhere together. If you have little ones in your house, you may want to put on a movie or have a babysitter (the Hubby?) to keep them occupied while you work on this. A single episode of Arthur isn't going to cut it. Just sayin' and pardon the pun.
Secondly, try to enlarge the image as much as you can on the virtual mat before you start cutting. There is a layer in this file that is VERY small and VERY intricate. I'll post more info on it later because I think it deserves it's own post. (Hint: That layer is in the flowers. It's black/dark brown.)
If you have not downloaded the Coo Coo Ca Choo Clock, click HERE to get it (and HERE to see the other Friday Freebies). It is free for this weekend only and the freebie will expire tomorrow (Sunday) night at midnight MST and revert back to its regular price.
It's Saturday and I'm looking forward to spending time with the family. Have a great weekend everyone!
