Love you snow much!
I made this card the other day when LD debuted the Great Scott collection. Even though it is mostly a basic shaped card, I prefer to call it a hybrid card because I combined traditional paper-piecing (i.e. paper layering) with the print-and-cut technique.
Printing a faux layer not only adds depth and interest to the card, it also saves on ink and paper. The sentiment was also printed. This is the print-and-cut layer:
And here's the finished card:

I love the look of the combined print and cut with paper piecing. It adds a lot of visual interest.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute. I just love the scottie's they are so cute. TFS.
ReplyDeleteI love the card! Do you have a tutorial explaining how to do the paper piecing like the small blue border around the outside of the images. I don't have a Silhouette Cameo but I've been able to do some of the print and cut using SCAL and then cutting with my Cricut. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHow did you get the faux layer? I have the Silhoutte Cameo. It looks like an offset then a fill, but that is as far as I can get. Do you have a tutorial?
ReplyDeleteThanks
This card looks amazing! I love how you used the pattern in the border- very creative!
