Did you see the new stamps from Joyslife.com? My friend, Super Joy, sent her Super Stamps into my mailbox in Super Speed so that I can make this Super Cute card today. (Challenge: How many "Super"s can you put in one sentence? :P )
I'm using the "guess who" sentiment from her Wild Life Puns set with Lettering Delights' Felt Owl Right SVG set. My favorite Make-the-Cut feature is the Shadow Layer Tool and for this card, I used that to create the base layer by welding the owl's shadow layer for the owl and a rectangle to form the base layer.
I used my Silhouette SD cutter to cut out all the layers for this card. Just for laughs, I layered the Funny Face SVG over the owl too.
Gotta love those Photobooth SVGs! They're an easy way to make a fun card even more fun. I even got a chuckle out of my hubby when I showed him this card. LOL!

Oh, I love this card! Too cute! Yes, love those photobooth files, but never have thought to use it like this! Thanks for the inspiration Jin! You are awesome!
ReplyDeleteJin,
ReplyDeleteYou're having to much fun. I awakened this morning very tired, but this card brought an immediate smile to my face and a chuckle to my lips!!!!!
What better way to start your day!

ReplyDeleteHugs...Kathy
Jin, it's funny you made this. After I saw your Calendar Girls, I started making a bunch for friends in their favorite colors. Well, my youngest son was sad I didn't make him one for his desk. I finally got around to making his, his only request was that the doll had a moustache! I already had the Paisley cart so I was using that not the set from LD. I had no boy dolls. Needless to say, I made it and she looks like the guy from the Pringles can. I will have to send you a pic!
ReplyDeleteJin, you always create the cutest projects, and I am loving your owl in disguise:0)

This is just so cute and fun! I love that owl in disguise!
ReplyDeleteThis is sheer and utter GENIUS!! I adore that owl image paired with the funny disguise! Seriously?!! I am speechless at the cuteness of it all!! LOL
ReplyDeleteJin, where do you get these ideas? This is the cutest thing ever!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card! I had to run right over to LD and get that file.
ReplyDeleteOh, Jin! This is just too cute and just the laugh I needed this morning! Love your creativity!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun this is! Even my boys would get a chuckle out of this one! Never thought to use these files this way. It's amazing how nicely the mustache and eyebrows cut out! I thought you had put fur or something on it but I see it's just the detail of the cuts.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thanks, everyone! :-D I had so much fun making this card believe me when I say I was chuckling as I was making it. :P
ReplyDelete@Becki, I would LOVE to see your Calendar-Girl-with-moustache! I love the Pringles guy reference! :-D
@cfine The funny face measures less than a 1" square and I am so impressed that the Silhouette managed to cut it so cleanly too.
cute!! Are you cutting directly to the silhouette from MtC?
ReplyDelete@deb Yes, I use the Print command and not Cut. You can see my post about it here: http://underacherrytree.blogspot.com/2011/03/silhouette-sd-review-part3-cutting-with.html
ReplyDeleteTo funny!! Love it:)
