So after posting my Star Wars foil project, I went to Michaels yesterday to pick up more foil for my Minc. I didn't notice until I got home that the prices I paid were less than the what the shelf tag had indicated. I went back this morning to take these pictures for y'all.
The local Michaels has put the Minc and some of the accessories on clearance but it seems that the actual prices are not as marked.
For example, the Minc foil applicator is tagged at a clearance price of $99.99 but it scanned at $79.99. That is an awesome price! The regular price is $149.99. If I didn't already have one, I would've bought it right away.
Some of the rolls of foil also rang up lower than the marked price. The 12" rolls that were marked on clearance for $6.99 actually rang up for $3.49 (reg. $9.99) while the 6" rolls that were not marked for clearance at all, rang up for $1.99 (reg. $5.99).
If you are looking to buy a Minc foil applicator, and if you have a Michaels in your neck of woods, it may be worth checking the store to see if they have the machine on clearance too.
