LD Tip: How to download 1 image/svg at a time

I posted this tip on my Facebook page last week but I'm sharing it again here on the blog in case you missed it.

Did you know that after you purchase your LD file, you can download the individual image and not the whole entire set? Let me show you how to do it:

Step 1. First log into your LD account. Click on "My Library" on the left to see the files that you own.

Step 2. Select the file that you want to download and click on the TRY ME NOW button.

Step 3. Pick the image/design that you want to download and click on "Retrieve", followed by "Save" to download that specific image instead of the whole entire set.

At the moment, unlike many other online stores, LD does not limit the number of downloads that you can make from their website. I find that I use this feature very frequently. Even though I usually download the entire set as soon as I complete a purchase, I keep all the zipped files on a separate hard drive and mainly for use when I do not have internet access. Whenever I start a new project, I often download the individual image from the LD site because I find that it is faster for me to do that rather than to go through all my LD files that I keep on my hard drive. Once I complete my project, I would delete that individual image to stay organized and to save on storage space.

Hope that you'll find this tip useful.

  1. I love your idea about keeping your LD files on a seperate hard drive! I don't want to fill my lap top up with files, but also want to be able to access LD files, what a perfect way to do that!

  3. I like this idea and am going to give it a try. I don't have a huge amount saved yet to take up space. LD I think is the only one to do this...the rest of sights with downloads you have to load or lose them. Thanks for this tip.

  4. This is such a brilliant idea!! I have a *LOT* of LD Zipped files and sometimes it's frustrating trying to remember which ones I do have. Thank you for the idea! (and yes, I am JUST getting around to catching up on reading my blogs, so sorry for the late reply!)
