Easy Print-and-Cut Cake Topper Flags

I have a quick project idea for you today. My friend, Judy is an expert baker and she often shares her homemade treats with us. This weekend she spoiled us with her delicious macarons. Just for fun I decided to take a picture of Judy's macarons for her, but not without dressing them up with a cake topper first.

Using SSDE, I imported the first image from Lettering Delights' Pennants SVG set. I adjusted the size to 0.6" x 4" but the resulting tail looked odd. Shifting the nodes with the nodes editor fixed that.
I added the words and used the LD papers to fill in the patterns and prepare to print-and-cut the toppers with the Silhouette Cameo.

Although I only needed one for my photo, I print-and-cut a letter-size page full of toppers. Judy has been making so many macarons I'm sure she could use these.

This is a quick and easy way to make toppers especially when you do not have time to make the ones shown in my cupcake topper tutorial. Click HERE to read that post if you had missed it. You can use these flag toppers for cupcakes or any baked goodies. You can even change the words to fit the occasion. With toppers that are so easy to make, you don't have to bring another "naked" cupcake to a party. Just dress them up with some flag toppers! In fact, they are so easy and fun to make, you don't even have to wait for a party. Why not try making some today?

That's all for Monday's quick project idea. Don't forget that the Dollar Sale ends tonight. Don't miss out on the deals. Just click HERE to get your $1 graphics and paper, or $2 SVGs.
