Single-line fonts are coming..... plus Friday Freebie

TGIF! Spring break for the kiddos started yesterday and they will be in my hair all of next week! Woohoo.......

In case you missed my "announcement" on Facebook, LD has an exciting new product coming. Thin fonts are single-line fonts. For most of the fonts that we currently use, the cutter can only cut or draw (with a pen), the outline of each letter. Single-line fonts are made up of a single-path and are perfect for drawing/writing with our cutters.

I have been testing the fonts with various pens and my Silhouette Cameo. My Fotobella order for the Silhouette pen holder is taking forever to get here and in the meantime, Amy Chomas has generously sent her holders to me for testing. I am super pleased with how well her holder works with the Sakura Souffle pens. I will be doing more tests and hopefully show you a project or two by the time LD releases the new line. In the meantime, if you don't see many new projects or tutorials on my blog, please know that I am using my limited me-time to test out the thin fonts.

I have many past projects in my gallery and I hope you will take a look whenever you stop by my blog and don't see a new post.

In other LD news, they released the new Jolly Good Neighbor collection of Cut Its, Graphics, Paper, and Alphabet yesterday. Today's Friday Freebie is a super cute printable that coordinates with that collection:

To grab the freebie, just click here or the image above, add the item to your cart and check out. You pay $0!

While you are at the LD site, don't forget to pick up April's freebie-of-the-month:

 Have a super weekend, everyone!

  4. WOw, Jin, that is great news. I have a question, though. Are these .OPF format (open path fonts) for MTC or are they TTFs (faux single stroke fonts since true type fonts have to have a closed path) that can be used in any program?

    1. Hey Kay, I've waited a long time for this and so far, the fonts and holders are working out great. I'm using .OPF files with MTC. :D
